Crimson

The whole con is simple: Crimson sells medical products and services prescribed by their sister, Doll, using the power of bullshit psychic nonsense! And somehow, people fall for it!

The products Crimson hawks are the kind you need to sign piles of documents for so you can't sue them. No refunds! We guarantee your satisfaction! You wouldn't even want a refund!

Shockingly, Crimson has some medical knowledge! They are completely fine stitching someone up or using a little healing magic with no payment. They scam people, sure, but they aren't the type of person who would abandon someone in mortal peril.

They're as pushy as you'd expect an addison to be, with the added bonus of smugness from being quite successful. They're easily annoyed, functioning as as straight of a straight man an addison can be. Beneath their pushy and smug mask, is a deeply neurotic person who holds a deeply rooted fear of abandonment and rejection.

Backstory

Crimson has known for nearly their whole life that their father was a deadbeat who knocked up their mother, Violet, and left without a word.

When Crimson was only a small child, Violet had come across an egg that she claimed had come from Crimson's father, given up to her for whatever reason.

And so, Crimson lived their life, knowing that they were unwanted by whoever their father was. But it's okay! They have Doll and Violet!

Crimson found Violet's whole thing of selling children toys and teaching them how to gamble to be horrible, so they naturally did what they considered much better: hawk questionable medical products and practices prescribed by Doll, who roleplayed as a psychic! The whole con was much more successful than Crijson and Doll thought it was, but when Doll and Crimson learned of a new place called Castle Town that had a load of suckers they could con, they moved there alongside Violet (she started finding Cyber City too overwhelming).

They met someone who seemed...familiar. Occasionally, a strange, puppet-like man would appear to buy hormones from Crimson (they add battery acid to spice things up!)

By the way, it turns out Doll is literally not supposed to exist! She's a glitch in reality! Crimson didn't take either piece of news well.

Imagine knowing that your sister isn't even supposed to exist, that she is a literal glitch in reality. How would you feel knowing that you're related to a mistake? Someone that is constantly on the verge of breaking? Someone who you could lose at any moment?

Other Information

• Not a very serious character. I take them a little more seriously than Doll, but Crimson is just a character I occasionally like to draw and think about.
• They just...appeared. In my mind. I thought it would be fun if there was someone to contrast Doll's weird, ditzy personality.

Doll

Crimson's half-sibling they would die for. Fiercely protective of her, Crimson wouldn't know what they would do if something horrible were to happen to her.

Violet

Their mother. A sweet addison Crimson loves very much, though Crimson finds her morally reprehensible at times. You can't just teach children to gamble, they're children!

Canon Characters

Spamton

Crimson's biological father. The one who abandoned them. The one who abandoned Violet. One who fears any sort of strings tying him down, even if it means he loses all he loves. Crimson really doesn't like him.

Tenna

Doll's other biological parent. Crimson isn't too familiar with him, but an enemy of Spamton is a friend to them!
